Firs Hill School is one of 8 schools in Sheffield chosen to take part in FamilyNet, an e-learning project funded by Objective One.
As new technology is becoming more and more important in our everyday lives, FamilyNet is aiming to help families learn new skills so that they can get the most out of computers and the Internet.
30 families with children in Year 5 have been given a free computer with Internet to use at home. Charlotte Munro (Family e-learning Tutor / Mentor) works in the school to support parents and help them learn about using a computer, the Internet, email, being safe online, digital photography and how to help with their child’s learning.
