Firs Hill Parents Group (PTA) is a dynamic and growing group of parents, carers and staff who meet on a monthly basis. We actively work with the school to help and improve our children’s school lives both academically and socially.
We are currently taking part in the LPPA (Leading Parent Partnership Award) which is working towards further involvement of parents within the school.

A frequently asked question about our parents group is 'what do we do?'
So what do we do?
Most recently we have installed a brand adventure trail on our Key Stage One playground (please see photographs in our galley). Ever since any one can remember the children have asked for something to play on, so with a bit of fundraising from BNDfC and a contribution from the School we now have the most fantastic piece of equipment. Future plans are to purchase sports strips for the school football and cricket teams.

On a more academic nature we encourage parents to get CRB checked and volunteer in school in various capacities but mainly to listen to children read.

We also help sort out smaller problems in school with things like school dinners or soap in the toilets.
